Welcome to the Hive

At BugByte Studios, The Hive is more than just our teachers — it’s our clients, our collaborators, and the community work we do beyond our walls.

It includes:

  • The rotating team of working artists who coach with us

  • The students (kids, adults, and pros) who trust us with their voices

  • And the outreach work we support — like our ongoing involvement with Voices of Our City Choir and other community initiatives that center music, equity, and access

We don’t just teach. We build.
We collaborate. We serve.
We lift each other up — whether on stage, in lessons, or out in the world.

This is where creativity meets community. This is OUR Hive.

Our team includes…

Award-winning artists, producers, and educators with real-world experience on stage, in the studio, and in the classroom. Our coaches have performed in Broadway national tours, toured internationally, and appeared on televised stages like The Voice, AGT, and American Idol. Many have played world-renowned venues and continue to tour, write, and release music professionally.

We work with Grammy-voting members, charting artists, and music directors with formal training — including degrees in voice, performance, education and music business. Our faculty includes producers and engineers with sync placements, university-level voice instructors, and specialists who have presented at national conferences on vocal science, identity, and artistry.

Several of our coaches have designed trauma-informed and  neurodivergent-aware curriculums, with a few Spanish speakers too.

And yes — some of our most beloved coaches are also moms, who bring a special loving vibe.

One of Our Core Values: Making Space for Real Life

We believe great teaching comes from a full cup — not burnout.
That’s why we build room into our studio for our coaches to be whole artists and humans, not just service providers.

We make space for:

  • Mommies raising babies and building careers at the same time

  • Touring musicians to take breaks when they’re on the road

  • Teachers who are in the middle of writing albums, healing, or simply needing rest

We don’t penalize pauses. We protect them.
Because when our teachers are creatively nourished, our students thrive too. This isn’t a hustle culture studio.

It’s a space for artists — teachers and students alike — to grow, rebuild, and fly.

At BugByte, we don’t pretend one coach can do it all — and we don’t expect our teachers to burn out to prove otherwise.

Our rotation system exists because we believe in:

  • Multiple lenses → faster growth for students

  • Team support → no one carries the whole weight

  • Room to rest + record + recharge → healthier artists, better teaching

Some of our coaches go on tour. Some take time off to finish albums. Others step back to restore or focus on family. And when that happens, the Hive steps in — not to replace them, but to support the student journey through change.

You might start with one coach and later work with another, attend a group workshop, or get feedback from someone with a different specialty. It’s not chaotic — it’s intentional cross-pollination.

No silos. No burnout. No ego.

Just a team that shares the load — and helps each other thrive.
